Communication with Addenbrooke's difficult

Recently I had a blood test but they were lost so I had to come in again to have another test. The main issue is getting results etc over to Addenbrookes which is very difficult and has required constant chasing and checking as it never seems to work and takes a lot of time. Getting the actual blood tests I need hasn't been an issue though.

Has improved

I call up and book appointments by phone and feel that reception have improved, it doesn't feel as rushed when talking to them. When I called today I was 1st in the queue and then had a call back quickly form a GP. After talking to them I was then given an appointment to come in and see them, so I'm very pleased with how it has all worked. I don't use online services but there is no pressure to by staff when you say you don't which is good.

Good diabetic care

Getting appointments is not an issue and whenever I need them they are available. I see the diabetic nurse and they are wonderfully supportive. It generally works very well for us and I've always been happy with the staff and how they are with us.

Helpful reception staff

At the moment each of my appointments is booked by staff at teh appointment before which works really well. The staff are great and reception are particularly helpful.

I love the Ask My GP system being used. The call backs are virtually immediately and most issues are sorted out over the phone but appointments are available for appropriate issues. Mostly been happy with the staff, I was told to go to A&E by a doctor but do feel that the issue did not warrant that course of action and could've been dealt with at the surgery.

Its all good here as appointments are available when needed. Because the phone lines are busy I tend to come down to the surgery to book. When calling it takes time to get through but the number of different options is a lot and the message takes a while to get through. I like that staff have not pressured me to go online, once I've said I don't use it it's fine. I've been able to book blood tests in under a week and both reception and medical staff are exceptionally helpful.

A good surgery

Always found it a good surgery and Ask My GP gets quick responses and any issues are addressed well, I like that you can go back to the doctor with follow up questions too. Not having continuity with the doctor I get to see is the only issue here as it makes it more difficult with the multiple conditions I have. The reception staff are very pleasant and do all they can to help.

Very happy with the surgery

I feel I'm getting on very well with the surgery. I can't use Ask My GP but reception staff are great and fill in the form when I'm on the phone and I get appropriate responses in a good time too. I spoke to someone yesterday and was given an appointment for first thing this morning. The surgery has always been very good and I'm really happy with it.

Ask My GP is quicker

I've found that Ask My GP is a quicker service to use. I have had a couple of cancelled appointments due to staff sickness lately but that can't be helped. I don't always really understand what is being said when they try to explain issues but this surgery is much better than my last one.
