Felt taken care of.

5 weeks ago I fell and broke my arm so we went to A&E. Within minutes of checking in I was seen by triage and was given painkillers. I was admitted for an operation and went home 3 days later. They were remarkable. I couldn't wish for anything better. Kept well informed at all times and discharge went smoothly.

Extra communication would be helpful.

Was meant to be third on list for a day operation but when I asked at 2 pm they weren't sure when I'd go down. Was told to get changed but was left waiting a further hour. Just being kept informed would've been nicer. In the end I was operated on so late in the day I had to stay overnight. In the morning it all felt very rushed and they wanted to discharge me. I can understand emergencies come and delays occur but keeping patients informed would be better.
Staff are all very kind.

Thank you for your feedback on your recent experience at Ipswich Hospital. I am sorry that in this instance the communication was lacking and discharge seemed rushed. We try to keep patients informed of any delays but sometimes we fall short of our and the patients expectations. Many thanks

10/10 for the treatment I've had. After discharge went well and the rehab services have made me feel that they really care. They listen to a very holistic approach which is very enjoyable.

Overwhelmed by the kindness and competence of all staff. Much appreciated my side ward for the first week. Then enjoyed a few days in the general ward - in particular the nurse who did a a little dance for us before going off duty! It cheered us all up. Still alive thanks to the cocktail of drugs the consultant provided.

Well supported with long term condition. Current provision of Heart Failure Nurse ensures I am given personalised care and access to all services which can help me stay well rather than just react to dips in my condition.

The presentation and quality of the food at the Ipswich Hospital is very poor. the nursing care by qualified staff is excellent, student nurses not quite as good.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your comments regarding the nursing care and the food. I have passed your comments regarding the food to our Facilities team for their attention. I have also informed the training team about your experience of student nurses, we would like to find out more about both comments so we can look into this further. Could you give me a call at your convenience on 01473 702101. Many thanks Steve Bruce - Patient Experience Team

Consultant went over and above. Due to emergencies the surgery was delayed during the day but the surgeon agreed to operate during the evening and was still there when I was waiting for a bed in recovery. Really can't fault any of the staff; they were wonderful
