Intended to encourage improvement

Hearing aid services
June 22, 2016
I have given the service low star ratings as they are intended to encourage improvement in services to patients, particularly those unable to advocate for themselves.

Long wait for an audiology appointment

Hearing aid services
June 22, 2016
I have been waiting approximately 2 months for an audiology appointment and I have no information when it might be. I hope that they will be able to adjust my aids as I am currently hearing very little which is very frustrating.

Overall good but small issues

June 22, 2016
If medication is needed from the hospital there can be long waits at the pharmacy.
My hearing aid has been re wired twice and I'm still not hearing. I was told that hearing aids do their best, if not suitable / working they can't do anymore. They (the clinic) do their best.
The Eye clinic - I'm registered blind and the blind eye must have the pressure tested every 2 years but I haven't had it done in 4 years.

Waiting time is appalling in Eye clinic

Eye Clinic
June 22, 2016
Great difficulty getting appointment and waiting times are appalling. Communication to eye clinic via telephone is very difficult. Received different opinions from consultants about future treatment.

Should be on any letters to take to the hospital that I am deaf/blind so the nurses/ doctors know support or extra time maybe needed.

Difficult to make contact

Physiotherapy
June 22, 2016
I couldn't get through to anyone in the department to find out about my appointment, have to leave messages and wait for a call back at some unknown time. Waited weeks between the Consultants referral and a first Physio appointment, and now weeks again for a second appt.

Communication about appointments poor

Dermatology

When the appointment arrived in a letter the date had already passed. No wonder there are so many missed appointments.

Care, compassion and patience

Saxmundham Ward
June 21, 2016
A well staffed ward with care, compassion and patience. Health care assistants are really caring. They are monitoring my husband really well and the social worker at the hospital is extremely proactive. I don't think he has been drinking enough though and is now on a drip.
