Thankful for having a separate A & E for children. Have needed to bring our son here previously when he was very breathless and the nurse was excellent

Excellent

Hearing aid services
October 6, 2015
I go to the Audiology Dept at Ipswich Hospital regularly - six monthly and find the service excellent. Hearing impairment can be very socially isolating so important to have a good service.

Friendly and caring staff but long wait

Accident and emergency services
October 5, 2015
Broke my arm yesterday and went to A&E, there for five hours, given pain relief when I arrived, waited about 2 hours for an X-Ray and then waited to have plaster cast applied. Dept was busy no doubt delay couldn't be helped. Friendly staff.

Arm has recovered well having broken humerus bone, fifth visit to fracture clinic today. For me, aged 10 years, would like something like colouring pens / childrens books/a goody bag to pass the time. Today waiting over an hour.

Helpful reception staff, long wait in Eye Clnc

October 5, 2015
Helpful Reception staff but long waiting times in eye Clinic. Regular visitor to the Eye Clinic I usually wait about two hours to see a consultant. Arrived 10.25 whole waiting room full nowhere to sit, have the feeling everyone is booked for the same appt time at start of each clinic and then just wait. Treatment is very good.

Good A+E Treatment

Accident and emergency services
October 2, 2015
I arrived at 7am with chest pain, I was seen quickly and had tests carried out over the day. I had to wait to see the consultant before being released. From the end of the tests at about 3pm, we had to wait about two hours to be seen by the consultant, but we had been told he had been called away with a sick patient.
