No funding for carer to have treatment

As a carer for my wife I needed to be hospitalised at a specialist centre in London to receive treatment, however, there was no funding available for her to receive care and support while I would be away. I therefore have had to go with out the treatment.

Not enough support

I was told that the only place I could get treatment for post shingles complications is in London. This makes attending appointments very difficult especially considering I am a carer.

Really good couln't fault them

I was admitted for an operation and stayed overnight. Staff explained everything to me and I was seen first thing in the morning and was discharged at 9am. This is very different to previous hospitals I've used and great. I was also impressed with how clean the ward was.

Treated well at A&E

When my wife had a fall on a bus she went to A&E and had x-rays, but there was only bruising luckily. The staff treated her very well and they are always helpful.

Slow getting test results

I've been waiting since July for the hospital to let me know the results of a urology test. I feel that because I have mental health problems I'm treated differently.

Referral has been too long

The referral to the hospital by my dentist has been too long, 3 months so far - I have had significant infections and had to take antibiotics. I am 83 years old and would like to be treated more quickly than I have so far experience.

Friendly, speedy, appropriate, great service

Arrived at A&E and was dealt with promptly and with a professional & friendly manner. Referred to ENT for follow up. ENT team were friendly & helpful with dealing with a scared 4 year old.

I want to include the breast imaging team - I had very compassionate care during imaging and biopsies and wire inserting prior to surgery. The nurses were absolutely brilliant. Almost looking forward to the next round of surgery to even me up!

Good - atmosphere, cleanliness, care, day room, staff so kind & knowledgeable, 24 hour line very well run. Improve - showers & toilets, more fresh food like fruit etc, noisy patients on ward overnight.
