My husband fell at home and broke his arm. My daughter drove to A & E and we were seen within 45 mins. All the staff were very nice. The arm was braced and we went home.
We've been for a check up and it was fine. To make sure I was happy with the brace they showed me what to do and gave me a number to call if worried

scans too limited
November 27, 2015
Ten years ago my husband after we found out he had lung cancer. He originally had had bowel cancer 9 years prior and had been having 6 monthly scans to check there was no recurrence. Unfortunately the scans only covered the lower body so by the time the lung cancers were spotted they were very advanced. It would have been better if full body scans had been done
11 week waiting list even though I am in pain
November 23, 2015
It has taken 4 months to finally suspect that I have a stress fracture in my hip (and that was by a private physio as the NHS physio wouldn't listen to me.)
I had a scan privately to rule out a tear, which they did. The physio then wrote to the GP with the findings and suggested I be referred to the hospital. It took the GP 2 weeks to read the letter and that was after I phoned on 3 occasions. The GP then referred me to the hospital.
I've now been told all referrals go to a central place and it can take up to 11 weeks to be seen by someone in the orthopedic department despite the fact I am in pain every day, wake up in pain and am kept awake at night from being in pain. I am also using crutches to walk (not given by the NHS) and using a wheel chair loaned by the Red Cross.
This is not good enough.

After a fall I was taken to A&E where I was treated really well. They x rayed me and I was then admitted to the ward for a couple of days. So all the treatment I received was really good.
Seen some poor care being given
Saxmundham Ward then cardiology
November 20, 2015
I've spent a lot of time recently in hospital and witnessed dementia patients basically being ignored on Saxmundham ward. During my stay I felt that staff shortages were having an impact on the care being provided. Medication was not given on time but when I was moved to the cardiac ward it was totally different, great care. During ward rounds there is no privacy and intimate details can be heard by the rest of the ward.
They saved my life and looked after me

Within 8 weeks I have been referred by specsavers in Stowmarket to the hospital (Sept) I saw 3 different staff all within 3/4 hour; they explained everything they were going to do. I went back up to the hospital to have the operation 2 weeks later. I arrived at 10 am had the operation and was home by 12. Apart from another small operation on the checkup everything went well and my eyesight is great, I was never left alone and I was always reassured The eye clinic was great.

Raedwald Day Surgery Ward - I was kept informed and advised by excellent staff from the time of my arrival until the time I went home. You should be truly proud of your staff which work in this department, they answered any questions I had and put any fears I may have had to rest. Nothing was too much trouble.
