Really can't fault the hospital, staff and care have been great, I really do rate them highly. Referrals have always been quick and treatment good.

Felt at ease

I went in for an endoscopy and the nurse made me feel at ease. She explained everything well and I was confident in her ability. She was lovely and made a not very nice procedure as good as it could be.

Like the appointment reminders

I like that you get the text reminders from the different departments when you have appointments. Never had any problems and appointments letters arrive on time.

TV cards very expensive

TV cards are very expensive to use and if you are staying long term may be there could be a reduction, especially if you are on benefits. If you are having to visit the hospital regularly the parking fees also get very expensive too.

Thank you leaving your comments, we do offer a parking permit if you are visiting a patient long term. These are available from the South reception. We have no control over the cost of the TV service. Many thanks

Staff have been friendly

Staff have been very friendly, this visit has been an appointment so there has been less waiting. The TV screen in the waiting area shows waiting times as 3 hours but this doesn't seem to change, is it a true reflection? The department is clean and drinks are available.

Things have been sorted out very quickly and we haven't had to wait long to be seen. All the staff have been very caring and kept me well informed of how long things will take. Staff have introduced themselves and we've had enough time. Everywhere has been very clean.

The nurse I saw was very friendly and warm. Everything was explained well and I'm aware of the time frame I should be seen with in today. Staff have introduced themselves to me and I've been given the time needed to discuss the issue. Generally its worked well for me and I haven't had to wait long at all.

Miss the minor injury unit

It would be great to have a minor injury unit back again, it worked so well. They can take people who don't need to go in to A&E

Thanks you for taking the time to leave your comments, we do direct patients to see a GP that we have on site if they arrive at A&E and would benefit from seeing a GP rather than care from A&E. The closest walk in centre to Ipswich is located at Felixstowe Hospital and this open during the day 7 days a week. Many thanks
