Could do with more information

Rehabilitation
April 25, 2018
I have had ongoing treatment due to mouth cancer and they have been very good at keeping me informed. I see the consultant monthly, so they are keeping a good eye on my progress.
There does not seem to be any further information to take away in order to help me understand what I can engage with to get any support in the community. I am fortunate enough to have family to help me.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments, I will pass you comments onto the team. I am not sure what information you have received and what is available, if you go along to the John Le Vey Cancer Information Centre in the Woolverstone wing they may be able to give you some more information. Many thanks

Appointment cancelled at last minute

Eye Clinic
April 25, 2018
My appointment came through and on the day, it was cancelled, but as I had left to travel there, they had not been able to get in touch with me in time. It was annoying and frustrating. They gave me no reason. I got my next appointment through and I did double check before I left the house that it was still going ahead to ensure it did not happen again. The service itself is excellent.

I am sorry that your appointment was cancelled at such short notice. Due to unforeseen circumstances sometimes this has to happen. We try to keep this to a minimum and we are working towards reducing this further. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. I hope the second appointment was a success and you are making a swift recovery. Many thanks

No tongue-tie check until I insisted on it

Maternity
April 25, 2018
The Care here was very good overall. However, they did not look for tongue-tie until I insisted as my baby was not latching on properly. I learn't from my first child who had tongue-tie to press the issue. They said they could not see a problem. However as I was having problems I did end up back in hospital. I was told if we 'cannot feed' we will get a referral straight away. We then went straight to ENT and it was dealt with (cut). Everything is going well, I do feel guilty that I did not realise first time round and press for earlier diagnosis. I didn't know as much then as I do now.

Cross service issues

Cross service issues

Communication between the hospitals regarding my care is very limited. They don't talk to each other and test have to be repeated. I now go straight to Papworth for things. The food wasn't good, very mushy. The care was lacking, I didn't get a wash until lunch time and when I had been hoisted into the bath i was told my time was up and I had to get out. I was not given any contact details for someone to contact after discharge should things not go to plan.

React team excellent

REACT
April 12, 2018
The support provided has been excellent. They've been visiting twice a day to help my husband and have got me a new piece of equipment to help move him in the house. Just a shame that they can't find me a carer to help at the weekend, I've tried 25 different agencies.

Was seen on time at my appointment, they were very thorough and have said they will do the same to my other hearing aid. They always send out letters confirming the appointment which is great.
