A great service provided at the hospital. Very caring unit, staff were very good at explaining what was happening at every step of the way.

Care was superb

We go to have monthly check ups due to heart disease and they are all so wonderful. We ended up needing to be in A&E recently and once he was through to recovery, the doctor came to find us in the cafe to tell us we could now see him. I felt that was going 'above and beyond'

Good treatment, aftercare confusing

Never had a problem at the hospital when I had a back operation a couple of years ago. I did feel that I was discharged too soon. The assessment they did was very limited so when I got home, it was very difficult to cope especially on my stairs are difficult. I didn't feel I was asked questions about going home or if I felt I would be okay.

Many thanks for leaving your feedback, I am sorry that you felt you were discharged to soon and the aftercare was confusing. We complete an assessment before patients are discharged and during this their should be an opportunity for patients to ask questions. I am sorry that you felt that this wasn't sufficient and caused some you some issues. I will pass your comments onto the surgical ward for their attention.
