Facing barriers currently

Pain management
May 11, 2018
In the past they have been very good and they have saved my life, however, at the moment I have severe back problems and there seem to be barriers to getting to see a doctor. I've seen a nurse at the pain clinic but I need something more.

Feels like I'm just going around in circles

May 10, 2018
Have been referred to the hospital for some time but feel like I'm just going around in circles with different doctors just changing medications. Nurses seemed to congregate at the nurses station and were rarely seen on the ward.

Accident and emergency services

Grandson had a motorbike accident, he broke his pelvis badly. There were 12 doctors around him at one time. Very quickly they transferred him to Addenbrooks.

Excellent care and compassionate staff

May 10, 2018
My father was admitted to Ipswich hospital in the morning, after a fall at home. The compassion, care and dignity shown by all staff, on Brantham ward, to my father, mother, sister and myself, was of a very good standard over a period of about 4 hours.

Staff care and support is excellent

May 10, 2018
I have had regular stays in hospital for a recurring issue and the staff support and care has been excellent. The dietitians advice and care has also been wonderful, they have been so lovely.

Top class treatment

May 10, 2018
All the times I've been in to the hospital I've had top class treatment. Outpatients follow ups have always been good and the diabetic clinic has been great.

Very prompt and helpful staff. I felt very comfortable when I had to stay at the hospital over the winter, they were very good with me.

More tests in the community

May 10, 2018
Rather than visiting the hospital for what are routine regular tests it would be better for the service to be offered in community settings, to reduce the need to visit the hospital and struggle with the parking.

Excellent care

May 10, 2018
Received excellent care from the doctors and nurses at the hospital when I was very unwell, following an accident, all the way from A&E through to the ward and aftercare. The food wasn't great. Keeping people well informed is important in outpatients appointments and the parking is very expensive when you need to visit regularly.

The service was poor

May 3, 2018
I was refused lunch and then when I was asked again, I was told it was on its way, but it didn't come. I asked many staff, but they just walked passed me. I wasn't given a call bell. I needed the toilet, there was no one around. I was incontinent and very stressed due to this.
