Antenatal

FAB TEAM AT ANTENATAL CLINIC. Areas could be cleaner.
Useful lecture
Pain management
February 28, 2018
The pain lecture held recently was very good and was very useful to be told about it by the physio. Been seen for arthritis for years and all treatment has been very good as has the pain management.
Stroke ward great
Stroke services
February 28, 2018
Brilliant care. I was on the stroke ward for 5 weeks and they were all great. The only thing was that I couldn't go home when needed as care couldn't be found. Once I was at home it took time for the physio to be set up.
Little information on where to go, care is ok
February 22, 2018
I was told to go to Colchester for a speedy scan but the information sent out has very little about getting there. It would be helpful to have information about this as it is very expensive. Generally been happy with the care at Ipswich hospital.
Experienced Urology, audiology and cardiology
Cancer services
February 18, 2018
All good. I have had long term treatment in Urology (in and out patient), cardiology (in), and audiology. The staff were all excellent. Parking can be difficult (!) but medical treatment excellent.
A&E very good
February 13, 2018
Had a very good experience, was taken in to A&E then stayed four days on critical care unit and on to a ward for more time. Care was great, nurses were very good with all the family and the only thing was that not all doctors were able to provide information when needed, sometimes it felt you were being told what they thought you wanted to hear not the truth.
Neurology excellent
Neurology
February 13, 2018
Found the support and care provided by the neurology department to be excellent, never had a problem. I'm seen every six months for a check up and this time I was called to see if I would like a cancellation appointment, so I will visit next week.
knowledge of nursing staff shocking
Gynaecology
February 12, 2018
Nurses have no understanding of physiology especially dehydration and as such totally uninformed and not bothered about patient care. Working at the least efficient level, constantly delaying things and checking Obs in an almost automaton way. Nursing should not be a tick box exercise, every patient is an individual
The care on Martlesham Ward is wonderful.
Orthopaedics
February 5, 2018
I had a total knee replacement in November. The knee operation was very successful but I had a chest infection and also needed a blood transfusion. The care I received was the best. I have IBS and the wonderful Housekeeper made sure I had the right meals and was very kind. My stay on the ward should have been 3 days but I ended up having to be there for 8 days and everyone was really helpful especially when I felt very poorly.
