Difficult to get face to face

Its a very good surgery and the only reason I've marked it down a bit is because of how difficult it is to get a face to face appointment especially to see someone specific. I find the call backs with a doctor difficult as I'm not sure I'm saying the right things to them and I feel that it can lead to issues being missed. Once in with a doctor they have always been very good and I have been able on occassions to see my own GP which is important for ongoing issues.

Wonderful

Its a friendly surgery. I've used econsult and been able to get an appointment that way the following morning which was good. From my perspective everything works well especially when the children need to be seen.

Doctors are good

Appointments are available but I've had a bit of a mixed message today as I was told to come in but then told I needed to book so a little bit of confusion about what I needed to do. Because English isn't my first language I do find explanations difficult at times.

I've had no issues getting appointments at the surgery whenever I need them and I'm really happy with the surgery. There is a bit of a wait on the phone to get through at times but that's completely understandable considering how busy the surgery is.

Very good surgery

It's working very well for face to face appointments or telephone consultations and they're available whenever they are needed. The staff are great so friendly and helpful and I fell the system is working very well. The only thing that would be a great addition would be a medication delivery service.

A little gold mine

I've been here 20 years and never had any issues, they are always great. Appointments are freely available and I like having the option of going online or calling the surgery. The doctors are always great and other staff are polite and my diabetes has been very well managed.

More difficult

I'm finding it more difficult to get a face to face appointment and therefore it feels more remote. the busy phones put me off calling the surgery but when I called first thing and gave all information to the receptionist I wasn't called back until 3.30 when I was seen very quickly and sent straight on to hospital. The care provided by staff is good but the system isn't. I could've been in hospital sooner if I'd been seen in the morning when I called. Staff are all very lovely but it does appear that reception staff are making medical decisions.

Urgent issues dealt with well

Getting urgent issues dealt with is good and there are no big issues really. I do find it a bit more challenging to know if I'm providing the right information over the phone so that they can make an informed decision. I had to wait one week for results which was a worrying time but to get the children appointments its always very quick. If they could identify who a text message relates to would really help as my phone number covers me, the children and my parent. and the texts don't currently say who it's for.

Brilliant

Always been a friendly and understanding practice. Appointments are available when you call in the morning, and call backs from GPs work well. Some reception staff aren't quite so friendly at times. Other than that its a brilliant surgery.

Mainly phone consultations

I do feel that I mainly have phone consultations not face to face with a GP and I have lost confidence due to a wrong diagnosis by a nurse, but when I spoke to a doctor I was referred to hospital. It is a more drawn out process to get appointments now and that really is the main issue. Econsult does get fairly good on the day responses too.
