Miss seeing same GP

Not seeing the same GP is an issue as you end up having to spend longer in appointments going over everything to get to the same point.

Its been really good here. Only been here about a year and a half but I've found the econsult system works well and I get quick responses through it. Most issues have been addressed by phone which has worked well too. The only slight issue is that you can hear what people are saying when they are at reception discussing their issues.

Econsult has kicked me off due to something I put down on the form, but I got a quick call back and spoke to a GP and was then invited in. The doctor I saw was amazing and arranged for me to have the flu jab while I was there too.
Busy phones

Getting through on the phone is busy and difficult to do in a 1/2 hour lunch break to arrange a nurse appointment, once through the appointment was easy to arrange.
Good surgery

Find it easy to use econsult and get a quick response and then appointment with the right member of the team. Telephone consultations have addressed issues and I've had face to face when needed too. I'm not worried about seeing different doctors as the staff are all very good.
Frustrating phone line

It's frustrating when you call that the phone message doesn't tell you not to select an option until the end of the message. If you do make a selection before the message has finished you get kicked off and have to start the whole process again which is frustrating when so many people are trying to get through and get appointments.
A good surgery

The surgery is good and provides good care but econsult is a little repetitive and asks the same questions which is both frustrating and draws out how long it takes to do the form.
Not proactive

They do ask what you want to do about issues you are visiting them with and they aren't overly proactive and only react if a patient is asking for things to be done. This is fine for capable patients but what about those who don't chase or request reviews or checks. Staff individually are good once you are being seen.
Never see the same doctor twice.

Often see a trainee doctor who does not tell you they are a trainee gp. That is when you do get to see one! Often fobbed off to see a physiotherapist when you have asked to see a doctor. Collecting medication is hit and miss. Sometimes good sometimes not so.

They are very busy and this can affect how quickly you get seen but the staff are good and do all they can.
