Staff are good

I find the Ask My GP system a bit of a rigmarole and sometimes it is obvious you just need an appointment but still have to wait for a call back, its jsut not as straight forward as calling up and booking an appointment.

I find Ask My GP is a good way to get a quick repsonse from staff however it does feel a bit more detached. Most issues are sorted out by phone but the care is good. I can see that it has reduced the number of patients calling the surgery so those that do need to call get through quicker. It's also a more private way to arrange an appointment especially compared to coming in to the surgery where most things can be heard and you can choose who you would like to see which helps. It would be great if the TV screen in the waiting area could be used to inform patients about how the surgery is working or what support is available in the community.

I don't use the surgery much and tend to come down if I need to arrange an appointment rather than going online. Its a very friendly surgery where everything just works well including prescriptions.

It's a perfect surgery. The staff listen, are helpful, care and I'm well supported. Its a brilliant surgery, second to none. Ask My GP gets call backs on the day and then called in to the surgery if then needed. The message on the phone is a little long and could be shorter but that is the only thing that I would change. My medication is always ready on time and I'm happy with everything here.

It takes a while to get through due to the length of the message you have to listen to and it would be nice if that could be shortened. Staff are good but its not like it used to be as you have to wait for a call back before getting an appointment and I do feel that staff try to put you off from having an actual appointment. To get a blood test has taken three weeks and I've also had an issue when neither the hospital, surgery or district nurses would help to get the equipment that I needed when I came out of hospital. No one would take responsibility and I was passed from pillar to post, finally the surgery managed to get what was needed.

I've had amazing responses and communication and really can't fault the surgery. I moved here from a different surgery and the difference is huge. I've felt well listened to from the start and my concerns have been taken seriously. They have started from scratch with looking at the problems I was experiencing . I've had good continuity and have found that the Ask My GP system gets me quick responses and I know they'll be in touch quickly. They have restored my faith and confidence in the health system.

Appointments are quick to get and now I know how the Ask My GP system works it's great, I'm happy to see any of the staff, they are all great and the conversations cover all aspects. The staff are brilliant, so helpful and polite.
Mental Health care is limited

Support is limited and there is a lack of communication and continuity. I don't feel that I get the quick response through Ask My GP for mental health issues compared to physical health issues.

Its a good surgery but I'm unclear why I've been given medication when nothing has been diagnosed yet.

They've always been very good. It's a nice local surgery and I asked to see a nurse this morning and had a call back with in a couple of hours. Staff are all great and I really appreciate the care they provide, they are really helpful and friendly. I don't use the online system but can easily ger appointments when needed and the reception staff are very helpful at arranging things.
