I called this morning and have been given an appointment within the hour with a doctor, which is great. The only slight difficulty is the parking but there's not much the surgery can do about that.
Amazing surgery

The only slight issue is the time spent on the phone waiting to get through. I've mainly seen the doctors but on occasions I see the nurses who are lovely and we are so lucky to have the surgery.
Reception helpful

I started calling the surgery later in the morning today and although I was 48th in the queue I was speaking to reception staff with in about 15 mins and was then offered an appointment with a doctor. Reception staff are very helpful and all staff are lovely.
Works well

I've found it fine to get the appointments our family need and we've seen the most appropriate person for the issue. The clinicians explain issues well and provide good care and support.
Car parking is difficult

I do feel the old system of coming in and waiting your turn was better but although you do have to wait on the phone to get through, once through I have mostly been able to get appointments when needed.
Waits on the phone

It can be frustrating waiting on the phone to get through to the surgery but staff are polite and helpful when you are through. Parking is difficult as it is so limited and the car park across the road is small.
Children seen quickly

It can take a little while to get through on the phone but was only 12 mins this morning. I've always been able to get an appointment and I spoke to reception today and have been given an appointment with a GP. The children are always seen quickly on the same day. I have raced down to the surgery as I have to drive here and I'd been given an appointment with not a lot of time to get here but when I arrived they were running behind anyway. I've always been happy with all the staff too.
Whole system is busy

I was 38th in the queue and it took 45 mins to get through. I was told there were no appointments available but I said I really needed an appointment. The whole system is very busy and when I've used econsult it just throws you out and tells you to call anyway. I'm not a fan of care navigators asking all the questions either.
Busy phones

The biggest issue is getting though on the phones but once through the receptionists are helpful and friendly and get you the appointments needed.
Staff pleasant

I called a few months ago and was asked to call again at 12pm as there were no appointments left in the morning. I was then given an emergency appointment when I explained the pain issues. When I've used econsult they phone you back but I thought the whole point was to avoid using the phone which is easier as I can get my thoughts together online. The staff are pleasant, they are always good especially considering the circumstances they face.
