Raedwald Day Surgery Unit
August 25, 2016
I was with my husband who was having a minor surgical procedure. Although my husband was last on the list as the unit was so busy, the waiting was too bad. It was a blistering hot day but we were kept cool. The staff were brilliant, the surgeon, the registrar and the anesthetist all came in to explain what they were going to do. The nursing staff were fantastic, I would like to thank them for looking after my husband so well.

I am pleased that the procedure went well from the information that they gave you at the beginning to the nursing staff who looked after your husband post op. I hope your husband is making a good recovery. Many Thanks

Good but referral has taken a long time

August 22, 2016
My referral through to Addenbrookes for a parkinsons appointment has taken 7 months and the appointment is't for another 2 months. The consultant does take our experience and knowledge in to consideration when discussing options

Very good treatment and staff in the department. My wife now attends the clinic after having Chemo every three months for a check up. Really have been happy with everything.

They answered all my questions and showed me the X Ray's. I had to wait for a while for the X-ray and I had a very long wait for the appointment with the consultant

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments on Healthwatch, I am sorry that you had to wait for your consultant appointment and I hope this didn’t cause you to much inconvenience, we do try to keep waits down as much as possible but this sometimes beyond our control and is longer than we would both like. Many thanks.

Poor treatment and long wait for pain clinic

Orthopaedics
August 17, 2016
Whilst wearing a cast I developed a blood clot in the full length of my leg, despite me telling staff that there was a problem with my leg they didn't listen and I have been left with long term effects.I raised a formal complaint. Since then I am needing help with pain and the waiting time for my first appointment with the pain clinic has been three and a half months. Pain in my leg now keeps me awake at night and I have been left with post thrombotic syndrome.
